Sloth had managed to get the best of Nordin this past month. While bouts of leisure such as that he had just gone through were nothing new for the young swordsman, he seemed to be avoiding people as much as his responsibilities. It was not so much that he did not wish to be around people - quite the opposite actually - he was just not good at making an active effort to be sociable, and while much time was spent with his partner without having to try and find her actively, Alex had a habit to quite easily get on his nerves. Aside from Alex, the only other acquaintance he had was Aegle, whom he - upon thinking about it - had not seen in quite some time. It would seem Nordin was almost fated to have no friends that were fine with just being friendly, as the only person he could really call a friend, or at the very least, the closest to such, was his partner who found such sincere, pure joy from teasing him.
An entire month had passed, and Nordin had barely so much as touched his sword, save for the occasional visit to the Perses Unlands for a bout of 'training,' which really equated to little more than the intention to train, followed by an intense wave of laziness as soon as the boy reached his usual training spot in the woods. Tonight, it seemed, would be no different. Having barely spoken a word for two whole weeks, Nordin thought out his plan for the night, resting Ahimelech on the grassy earth beneath him. "I will simply meditate for a bit, calm my mind... Then I can begin with the usual routine..." With his plans made, he sat cross-legged on the ground, controlling his breathing and attempting to clear his shattered mind.
An unknown amount of time had passed, the moon significantly higher than it was when he had first began, and through his ears he could hear the snarling of Grimm, accompanied by the crunching of leaves, the shifting of shrubbery, and the snapping of twigs. He estimated there to be two, refusing to open his eyes to confirm. "It is likely another one of my hallucinations... Do not lose focus..." He remained steady in his breathing, keeping utterly calm. So calm that it took him a moment to realize he had been attacked and launched back by a very real Beowolf.

Nordin grunted as he was knocked to the ground, sent rolling a decent distance from his opponents. The four young men stood with a grin as he waited for the lone swordsman to stand back up. "Come on, Nordin. You can do better than that, right?" With a tone of disappointment in his words, Czeslaw
- the team's brawler, with a white T-shirt and camo-green shorts, with a red hoodie wrapped around his waist - cracked his knuckles, tightening his grip on his metal bat.
The next to speak was a fellow with almost all black clothes on, save for the fur on his thick coat. Yahto
had a grin on his face, shrugging with his arms out while in his coat pockets, bringing the ends of the jacket with him. "I would sure as hell hope the boy's got it in him. He did bring this upon himself after all, it would be a shame if he quit on us so soon." He smirked, standing in a firm stance as he pulled out a small switchblade.
The third voice was seemingly the only one of reason on the team, looking at his friends with a concerned expression. "Hey, come on guys, look at him, he's had enough. Let's just stop already." Nathan
had a genuine tone behind his words, legitimately trying to get his team to stop.
Of course, this would have worked had the team's leader grinned an insane smile, walking up to Nordin with his sword drawn. Lyssamanya
was known for his insanity, but he had the lucky side of the spectrum, having a more cartoonish insanity than Nordin himself. "Come on, guys~ The boy did ask for this after all~" Lyssamanya extended his hand, pulling Nordin up, their faces mere centimeters apart. "You picked a fight with Team LNCY, so let's have some fun!"

Silence... Loneliness... All factors that Nordin had become accustomed to in his life... Here he stand in a small clearing, surrounded by large trees. The wind seemed to sing softly into the boy's ear as he and the world around him stood in complete silence, his eyes shut as he meditate in the rare peace. Between his fractured mind and his hyper partner, a moment of calm such as this was incredibly rare; best to take advantage of it while the opportunity presents itself.
As much as he was enjoying the serenity, it was not why he had come here. After some time of clearing his mind, Nordin grabbed his sword by the leather handle, pulling it swiftly into a drawing strike. "No good..." He stated as he held the sword out. He stood straight, sheathing the blade before trying again, taking his left foot one step back as his body lowered and he once again slashed at the air from drawing his blade. He held his posture, gently moving his left foot against the ground to feel for his stance. "My back foot is too unstable..." He stood again, grabbing the sword by its handle once more, pulling it swiftly into a slash, hearing it cut the air.

The day sure had a way of dragging on when things weren't going well. Perhaps that was just the exhaustion speaking, as Nordin's body felt inexplicably heavy as he finally found his team's dormitory, opening the door and walking into the beautiful, spacious chamber. "I am exhausted..." The leader walked over to one corner of the room, dropping his bag down and collapsing. It sure hurt, and he was writhing on the inside from the collision his head made, but the last thing he wanted was to give his partner more ammunition with which to tease him. He lie limp on the ground, motionless as he seemed to faint. His eyes were closed as he seemed legitimately unconscious, his sword uncomfortably digging into his hip as the blade hit the ground.

Too long. Far too long. Nordin had gone far too long without standing on solid ground, too long living off fish "just caught fresh this mornin'," and far too long being gently rocked by the waves of the ocean. He was not particularly fond of naval transportation, but he had signed up for Shade Academy's foreign exchange program nonetheless. He felt that getting to experience a foreign culture first-hand would be well worth the tumultuous seas. Boy was he wrong.
The most exciting part of his travel wasn't seeing the endless ocean, or even watching the occasional marine Grimm, but hearing the captain make a wonderful announcement, just three blissful words. "We're almost ashore!" Nordin was eternally grateful to be almost done with the voyage. When at last the ship was docked, Nordin was one of the first off the floating metal fortress. Stepping onto the solid foundation of the harbor, it made Nordin feel weak in his knees. Or perhaps it was the transition from constantly pushing his feet down at certain points to keep himself stable to being able to just stand normally.
Whatever the cause, it made him weak enough to fall to his knees, a hand rushing down to catch him. After a moment of relief, he stood again on now stable legs, smiling wide as he took in the magnificent sights before him: A beautiful city, countless people, and new experiences for Nordin as far as his eyes could see, and even beyond. Who knew what was in store for the Huntsman-in-training? What kind of people he would meet, what kind of adventures were to be had.
